About Mollie Hauser
I became a Member of The Dayton Woman’s Club in 2003, and by 2005, I was on the Club Board of Directors as Co-Chair of Hospitality and Historian. Through the years, I have co-chaired several Fundraising events for the Club. The one of which I am most proud was co-chairing in 2016 for the 100th anniversary of our beloved organization.
When asked to be the historian, I consulted the History Department of the Dayton Metro Library and Wright State University Archives. They were most generous in giving me information. In addition, I have received guidance from friends who have published works of national, regional, and Dayton History. I have read all available written works by the members of the Dayton Woman’s Club, beginning with minutes of the very first meeting held in 1916.
As a writer, I received a Certification in Technical Writing from Wright State University. I co-authored Empowered Women, History of Dayton Women and the Dayton Woman’s Club, published by Childrens’s Historical Publishing.
Over the years, I have given talks for the DWC Birthday celebrations, outside organizations, and nonprofit groups. Encouraged by members and staff of the Woman’s Club as well as friends, I am writing a history of the Club, dedicating it to my deceased husband, who loved The Grand Lady of 225.
Please invite your friends — all are welcome to attend this public event!
