Afternoon Tea with Live Cello

A festive afternoon of tea, treats, and live classical cello

Celebrate the arrival of fall with Afternoon Tea in the historic surroundings of the Dayton Woman’s Club, accompanied by live cello music performed by Dayton-based cellist Tara Mar.

Guests will enjoy a classic tea service featuring a curated selection of teas, delicate finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones, and seasonal sweet treats, all served in our elegant Victorian-era clubhouse.

As Tara Mar’s cello music fills the room, settle in for a cozy autumn afternoon of good food, conversation, and connection.

Afternoon Tea is meant to be enjoyed at a relaxed pace, giving you time to gather with friends, meet new faces, and savor a beautiful fall afternoon in one of Dayton’s most distinctive historic spaces.

Seating is limited, and reservations are required.

DWC Members: $38
General Public: $45
Kids 10 & under: $25

Gluten-free & vegetarian options available during ticket purchase

Free seating for children ages 3 & under. Food is not included, but they may share from an adult’s plate.


We are open to the general public, and our venue is fully accessible, with a ramp entrance and accommodations to welcome guests of all abilities.

All proceeds will fund our community programs and preserve our nationally recognized historic landmark.


ABOUT TARA MAR

Tara Mar grew up in Montreal, Canada and moved to Miami County in 2016. Before that, she spent 15 years living abroad in Fiji and Cambodia where she worked in international development and heritage preservation. She now teaches at Sinclair Community College in Dayton as a professor of Cultural Anthropology. Music has always been a part of her life through teaching and performing. She plays cello in the Miami Valley Symphony Orchestra and performs at a wide array of private functions, local churches and community events. She is also a certified Tai Chi instructor and teaches group classes in Troy and Tipp City. She lives on a seven-generation farm with her husband and two teenage children.
