Ikebana Workshop: A Fall Floral Arrangement

Join us at The Dayton Woman’s Club for a November Ikebana Workshop and discover the beauty of the traditional Japanese art of flower arranging.

Led by instructor Yuuka Ishiu, this hands-on workshop will introduce the principles of ikebana, emphasizing balance, simplicity, and the natural beauty of flowers and branches. For this special November session, participants will create their own arrangements using wooden boxes and floral foam, offering a fresh approach to this centuries-old art form.

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, it's a wonderful opportunity to create a beautiful seasonal arrangement to display at home while enjoying a relaxing evening of creativity.

Ikebana encourages you to slow down, appreciate nature, and explore how thoughtful placement can transform even the simplest materials into something extraordinary.

No previous experience is necessary. Beginners are welcome! All floral materials will be provided, and you'll take your finished arrangement home.

A Few Important Notes:

  • If you attended a previous workshop, please bring any equipment you took home with you.

  • Flowers and materials may vary from those shown in promotional photographs.

  • While your arrangement may make a lovely Thanksgiving decoration, flower freshness cannot be guaranteed through the holiday. Some blooms may need to be replaced.

We are open to the general public. Our venue is fully accessible with a ramp entrance.

Cancellations must be requested at least 3 days before the event. No refunds will be given after that date.
