Celebrating 250 Years of America and 110 Years of DWC
Step back to 1776 for an evening of Colonial-era dancing, music, and merriment as The Dayton Woman’s Club celebrates America’s 250th anniversary and DWC’s 110 years as part of Dayton’s history.
Historical dance instructor Jeanette Watts will call and teach the dances throughout the evening, so no experience is necessary. Come with a partner, gather a group of friends, or attend on your own and enjoy a lively evening in the historic surroundings of the Dayton Woman’s Club. Period attire is welcome and adds to the fun, but certainly isn’t necessary.
Light snacks and nonalcoholic refreshments will be provided, with beer, wine, and cocktails available for purchase at the bar.
More than a celebration, The Liberty Ball will also help preserve DWC’s historic home, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Proceeds from the evening will support its preservation for future generations.
Sponsor the Liberty Ball
Businesses, organizations, and individuals are invited to help support The Liberty Ball and the preservation of the Dayton Woman’s Club’s historic home.
Sponsorship opportunities are available at $250, $500, $1,000, $2,500, and $5,000, with recognition and event benefits at each level. Gifts of any amount are also welcome.
Optional Afternoon Dance Lesson & Practice
Want a little practice before the Ball? Join Jeanette from 1:00–3:00 pm for an afternoon lesson and learn the dances ahead of the evening festivities.
Dance lesson admission is $30 per person and requires separate registration. The lesson is not included with Liberty Ball admission.
We are open to the general public. Our venue is fully accessible with a ramp entrance.
