Hear about the fascinating history of tea that goes back 5,000 years!
The world of tea and tea parties has its own set of rules and traditions. Pinky up while holding a cup? Absolutely not!
Find out why social standing was vital for tea parties in Europe. Why are tea party foods so small? To accommodate elegant Regency-era attire, dainty dishes were served so they could be eaten with the fingers.
Learn the proper tea steeping technique — no, you may not squeeze the bag! After the presentation, you’ll get to channel your creative side! Blend your own customized tea made from locally grown organic herbs, fruit and flowers.
Our afternoon tea will conclude with delicious scones, jam and cream, tea sandwiches, and mini desserts!
Guests are invited to bring their own tea cup and saucer so we can see how unique and different each one will be!
Please invite your friends — all are welcome to attend this public event!
