Experience the timeless tradition of Afternoon Tea in the historic surroundings of the Dayton Woman’s Club, enhanced by live cello music performed by Dayton-based cellist Tara Mar.
Guests will enjoy a classic tea service featuring a curated selection of teas, delicate finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones, and sweet treats, all served in our elegant Victorian-era clubhouse.
Throughout the afternoon, Tara Mar’s cello performance will provide a warm, graceful backdrop, creating an atmosphere that invites guests to slow down, connect, and savor the moment.
Afternoon Tea is meant to be enjoyed at a relaxed pace — a chance to gather with friends, meet new faces, and enjoy music, conversation, and community in one of Dayton’s most beautiful historic spaces.

Seating is free for children ages 3 & under. Food is not included, but they may share from an adult’s plate.
Yes, men are welcome at The Dayton Woman’s Club! Although our name suggests otherwise, we are open to the general public. Our venue is fully accessible, with a ramp entrance and accommodations to welcome guests of all abilities.

ABOUT TARA MAR
Tara Mar grew up in Montreal, Canada and moved to Miami County in 2016. Before that, she spent 15 years living abroad in Fiji and Cambodia where she worked in international development and heritage preservation. She now teaches at Sinclair Community College in Dayton as a professor of Cultural Anthropology. Music has always been a part of her life through teaching and performing. She plays cello in the Miami Valley Symphony Orchestra and performs at a wide array of private functions, local churches and community events. She is also a certified Tai Chi instructor and teaches group classes in Troy and Tipp City. She lives on a seven-generation farm with her husband and two teenage children.
All proceeds will fund our community programs and preserve our nationally recognized historic landmark.
